If you love essay writing and history, then this scholarship just may be for you! The Facing History and Ourselves Essay contest offers students the chance to reflect on who or what has influenced how you think about the world in terms of your roles and responsibilities as engaged members of your communities. They are looking at new ways, igniting conversations about how we can build societies free from racism, antisemitism, bullying, and hatred of all kinds. Three $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to students in grades 7-12 and their teacher will also receive a $500 Classroom Award. At least one award will be designated for a graduating senior. Seven $1,000 awards will also be awarded to students in grade 7-12 and their teacher will also receive a $250 classroom award.
